AC Milan have “made a move” for West Ham left-back Emerson Palmieri, according to Gianluca Di Marzio.
The Sky Sport Italia journalist claims that the Rossoneri have identified the 29-year-old as a potential replacement for Theo Hernandez.
After having an outstanding season for the Hammers, supporters on X would be very reluctant to see Emerson leave the London Stadium:

The only time he will leave here is when Theo Hernández comes to our team

Said it before and will say it again really wouldn’t mind selling him at an inflated price of £20m

A transfer will depend on how much Milan are willing to pay for Emerson
While Irons fans are understandably unenthusiastic about the fullback leaving, clubs do have to be practical in their decision-making.
Reports have surfaced in recent weeks that Emerson is keen on returning to Italy, and West Ham may need to keep an open mind, especially if they receive a good enough offer.
The defender joined from Chelsea two years ago and his contract expires in 2026, so cashing in this summer can’t be completely ruled out. His value will begin to depreciate if he remains with the team for another year.
Who would West Ham sign as a replacement?
A couple of potential names have been mentioned as targets in recent months. Fenerbahce’s Ferdi Kadioglu has been linked pretty regularly.
The Turkish international is said to be valued at around £30m, though, making him a costly purchase. The Hammers have also reportedly been scouting Gent’s Archie Brown, who would probably be a much cheaper alternative.
