Strasbourg “do not want to sell” West Ham transfer target Emanuel Emegha during the January transfer window, according to ExWHUEmployee.
The insider claims that the Hammers have enquired about the availability of the Dutchman but he is unlikely to leave France before the end of the season:
It seems Strasbourg do not want to sell the forward in January. West Ham and other clubs have enquired but looks more likely he moves in the summer unless a big bid comes in https://t.co/3M4adZvWpG

Fans on X are getting increasingly frustrated with the club’s search for a new centre-forward following Ex’s update on Emegha:
Same old, same old!

This reminds me of when we sold Haller and were being linked to many strikers and ended up signing no one.

Chelsea will have the final say on Emegha’s future
As a supporter points out, Strasbourg are not really in control of where their players end up. They are, in fact, owned by Chelsea’s Todd Boehly and Clearlake Capital.
With that in mind, the Blues effectively have first refusal on Emegha and the other members of the Ligue One club’s squad. You can’t see them selling the striker to one of their London rivals.
Who could West Ham sign instead?
The Irons have already made bids for the likes of Marseille’s Elye Wahi and Aston Villa’s Jhon Duran but both of those deals look unlikely to proceed at the moment.
RB Leipzig’s Andre Silva remains a candidate, as does Nice’s Evann Guessard but neither are likely to set the Premier League alight. There is still a possibility that the club will decide to go after Brighton’s Evan Ferguson who could be available on loan before the transfer window shuts.
