West Ham take on top-of-the-table Arsenal next Sunday and supporters are not that optimistic about the team’s chances.
While the Gunners have a full week’s rest ahead of the London derby, the Hammers have to face Gent away from home in the first leg of their Europa Conference League quarter-final tie first.
It means there could be fitness concerns ahead of next weekend’s game and, combined with Arsenal’s recent form, fans on Twitter are not expecting to get any points from the match:
They will batter us

They ALWAYS bash us, couldn’t even win when gave us 3-0 start season before last so it’s the games after it that really matter

It would genuinely be better to forfeit take the rest after Gent and save the embarrassment

Manager David Moyes has some very tough decisions to make in terms of team selection over the next week. The club’s top-flight status remains in peril but the prospect of a European final means the Gent game has to take precedence.
With injuries to the likes of Nayef Aguerd and Gianluca Scamacca to contend with too, the Irons will do well to get positive results in both fixtures.
