10) Marc Guiu (Chelsea) – €43.8m

Since joining the Blues from Barcelona at the start of the last season, the striker has had his ups and downs. He did get game time last season, but he was also sidelined for a lengthy period with injury.

To get him more minutes, the decision was made to loan him out to newly-promoted Sunderland, but within weeks, he had been recalled with Chelsea needing a replacement for Nicolas Jackson. Ironically, his first start of the campaign came against the Black Cats during the 2-1 home defeat.

9) Lewis Miley (Newcastle) – €45.2m

Injuries and form have meant that the midfielder has not managed to kick on from his breakthrough year in 2023/24.

Miley has started 4 times so far this campaign, but there is a feeling that he needs to do more if he is to break into a midfield which consists of Sandro Tonali, Joelinton and captain Bruno Guimaraes.
