AC Milan striker Olivier Giroud is “open” to a move back to London at the end of the season, according to The Sun.
The English tabloid claims that West Ham, Fulham and Crystal Palace are among the favourites to sign the former Arsenal and Chelsea player if he chooses to leave Milan on a free transfer this summer.
Giroud’s contract at the San Siro expires at the end of June so he is already able to formally talk with foreign clubs about a potential deal.
The 36-year-old is a regular starter for his current team, having made 31 appearances in all competitions this campaign, but he is considering his options.
Whether West Ham would actually need a player like Giroud, it is questionable. Manager David Moyes has signed Gianluca Scamacca and Danny Ings to strengthen the forward line since the start of the season and you can’t really see where the World Cup winner would fit into things.
