Goalkeeper and Defence
GK – Alphonse Areola – considering his poor form this season, there is a case for starting Lukasz Fabianski instead but the Frenchman may keep his place for now.
RB – Aaron Wan-Bissaka – the right-back will be going up against his former club with something to prove.
CB – Jean-Clair Todibo – was unfortunate with the own goal he scored against Spurs but improvement is needed.
CB – Max Kilman – inconsistent performances have raised more questions about his £40m price tag but there are few other options in the squad.
LB – Emerson Palmieri – has struggled to replicate his performances from last season but he is ahead of Aaron Cresswell in the pecking order.
