Yaya Toure heading for West Ham?

Yaya Toure has been heavily linked with a move to West Ham this summer after the veteran’s Manchester City contract expired.

The rumours about a potential transfer have continued to hot up this week, with many suggesting that the Ivorian international is keen to join up with former manager Manuel Pellegrini once again.

The 35-year-old has insisted he still has plenty of football left in him, and has flirted with the prospect of staying in the Premier League.

The Hammer’s are desperate to land some marquee signings this summer, and Toure looks as if he would be the perfect fit. A potential stumbling block could be the midfielder’s wage demands, but TalkSPORT reporter Adrian Clarke believes Toure could well be about to move to the London club.

“He’s going to West Ham isn’t he?” Clarke said on TalkSPORT.

“It would be interesting if he does turn up at West Ham. I think he has got something to offer.

“I don’t think that should be West Ham’s policy for transfers this year, I think they need to go for younger players, hungry players on the rise.

“But Yaya Toure, he might be the type of player that can inspire West Ham, especially with no Lanzini of course now.

“They need someone who can unlock the door because Lanzini is out for the season.”
