Yarmolenko looking to bring back the ‘West Ham way’

Andriy Yarmolenko says he wants to help bring back the ‘West Ham way’ through entertaining the fans with an exciting brand of football.

The Ukraine star arrived at the London Stadium during the summer from Dynamo Kyiv, and has quickly established himself as one of Manuel Pellegrini’s star players this season.

Yarmolenko scored twice a fortnight ago as the Hammers swept aside Everton 4-0, and again put in terrific performances in the draw against Chelsea and recent 3-1 victory over Manchester United.

West Ham take on Brighton tonight at the AMEX Stadium as they look to continue their fine run of form, and the talented number-20 is hoping his side can again put on another enthralling performance.

“I don’t want to look too far ahead and want to say we’re going to win the title! We need to take things step by step and think about the next match.

“Obviously, everyone wants to set the highest possible targets for themselves but, as we say in Ukraine, we don’t want to be running ahead of the train!

“We want to play good football that both the fans and the players will enjoy. If we do that, then we will get the place we deserve at the end of the season.”
