‘Would Be A Terrible Appointment’ ‘He’d Be Another Pellegrini’ Fans React As 58 Year Old Is Linked With West Ham Job

Italy manager Roberto Mancini is open to returning to the Premier League and he would be interested in replacing David Moyes at West Ham, according to reports.

The former Manchester City head coach has not managed a club side for nearly five years, with his last job being an ill-fated one-year spell at Zenit St Petersburg.

Mancini has, of course, improved his reputation since then by winning Euro 2020 with Italy, but the majority of supporters on Twitter are not keen on the 58-year-old becoming Hammers boss:

At the bookies, Mancini isn’t even considered a contender, with Rafa Benitez, former Chelsea manager Graham Potter and Middlesbrough boss Michael Carrick currently the top three candidates.

After the weekend victory against Southampton, West Ham won’t be considering a replacement for Moyes just yet, but there is a growing list of options that the Irons could target if the Irons do decide to part ways with their head coach. Whether Mancini would be on the club’s wishlist, though, we shall have to wait and see.
