Wilshere Makes Transfer Claim About Declan Rice As He Speaks Out On The West Ham Star’s Future

Former West Ham midfielder Jack Wilshere believes Manchester United should be doing all they can to snap up Hammers captain Declan Rice.

The Red Devils, along with Chelsea and Manchester City, have been linked with bids for the England international, and speaking to talkSPORT presenter Andy Goldstein (who supports Man United), Wilshere said:

“I’ll tell you who you need, Declan Rice.”

When it was then suggested that every team could do with a player like Rice, Wilshere doubled down by saying:

“Yeah, but United NEED him.”

Wilshere’s remarks are unlikely to go down well with West Ham fans. Although the ex-Arsenal player didn’t have the best of times at the London Stadium, it is disappointing to see him touting the Irons’ best player to another team.

It should be noted that the Manchester club only finished a place above David Moyes’s side in the table last season and, while they could undoubtedly do with a player of Rice’s ability, it would hardly be a step up for the 23-year-old who has ambitions of playing in the Champions League.
