‘What Has Happened?’ Cascarino Thinks Key Playmaker’s Poor Form Is Costing West Ham

Former Chelsea striker Tony Cascarino has claimed the poor form of West Ham winger Felipe Anderson is really impacting the Hammers’ results this season.

The pundit believes there are major question marks over the Brazilian, and he can’t understand why the 26-year-old has performed so poorly in recent months:

“There’s a big question over what has happened to Anderson’s form? It’s really dipped this year. They can ill afford to have players doing that.”

Anderson’s recent form is a big concern for Irons boss Manuel Pellegrini. The Brazilian international is regularly picked to start despite not having scored a goal this campaign.

The question is, though, who would be selected in his place? With Michail Antonio still out injured and Pablo Fornals having not had the impact many would have hoped since his summer arrival, Pellegrini doesn’t have too many options.

He could perhaps put Manuel Lanzini on the left-hand side, but the Argentinian has also had his form problems in recent months. In all likelihood, though, Anderson will be selected to start when they face Burnley this afternoon.
