West Ham’s New Signings ‘Fit Perfectly’

West Ham defender Winston Reid has insisted that the club’s new summer signings have “fitted in perfectly” and believes that the group will help the Hammers move forward this season.

Slaven Bilic’s side have brought in 5 new signings this summer, with 4 of those being thrown straight into the first team. Striker Javier Hernandez, defender Pablo Zabaleta, forward Marko Arnautovic and the loanee goalkeeper Joe Hart have all been added to the squad in what has been one of West Ham’s most exciting transfer windows in recent times.

All four of those mentioned above started in the 4-0 loss to Manchester United at Old Trafford on Sunday, a defeat which will have taught the Hammers a lot of lessons.

Yet despite the heavy loss, Reid insists that West Ham’s new signings have slotted in perfectly and believes they will play a big role in helping the east London side finish higher up in the Premier League table than last season.

“It does help that the players we have signed have played in the Premier League before,” he told West Ham’s official website.

“I’m sure that, once we get things gelling and have had another week working hard on the training pitch, we’ll be a lot better.”

“The new players have fitted in perfectly and they’ll help us move forward.”

West Ham’s 4-0 hammering at the hands of Man United was not the start Bilic’s side would have wanted. But there’s a long season ahead of us – and still a long way to go in the transfer market.
