West Ham Ace Handed Deserved Nomination For Fans’ Player Of The Month Prize

West Ham forward Jesse Lingard has been nominated for the GiveMeSport‘s Premier League Fans’ Player of the Month award for February.

The 28-year-old will compete with Manchester United pair, Bruno Fernandes and Luke Shaw, Manchester City’s Raheem Sterling, West Brom’s Sam Johnstone and Leeds United’s Raphinha for the prize.

Following his loan move from United in January, Lingard hit the ground running by scoring two on his debut in a 3-1 win over Aston Villa at the beginning of last month.

Although he didn’t make a similar impact for the Hammers in the 0-0 draw against Fulham a few days later, subsequent performances against Sheffield United, Tottenham and Manchester City have shown that manager David Moyes was right to take a gamble on the England international.

Lingard’s goal versus Spurs turned out to be crucial as they sealed a 2-1 win. He won a penalty in the victory over the Blades, while he also provided an assist for Michail Antonio’s goal in the defeat to City last time out. You can vote for Lingard here.
