West Ham Weigh Up Move For 21 Year Old With £10.8m Release Clause

West Ham have been keeping tabs on Real Valladolid centre-back Mohammed Salisu, according to the Daily Mail. The 21-year-old has been attracting a lot of interest from Premier League clubs in recent months.

Manchester United have reportedly scouted the Ghanaian, while it is believed Southampton have already had a bid turned down for the defender.

With Everton and Rennes also said to be in the running for Salisu, the Hammers will have a battle on their hands to sign the player, but the London club are very keen to reinforce their backline.

Manager David Moyes currently has just three senior centre-backs available to him, with Winston Reid’s future at the club in doubt, and he will be looking to strengthen his options.

However, due to concerns over relegation, a transfer budget has yet to be agreed but, if they avoid the drop, the Salisu’s €12m (£10.8m) release clause could well make him an attractive proposition.
