As West Ham lick their wounds from a disappointing defeat against Manchester United in the FA Cup fifth round, they will gear up to take on Brighton in the Premier League on Saturday, March 4 at the Falmer Stadium.

David Moyes’ team will be without former Arsenal ‘keeper Lukasz Fabianski for the game against the Seagulls – in fact, the Pole between the poles could be out for some time.

On his condition, Moyes said: “I’m waiting, I couldn’t give you an answer, we’ve had the surgeons report back but I think there’s a decision to make as to whether it’s surgery or natural healing. We think that he’s fractured his cheekbone and eye socket.”

On top of this, Kurt Zouma, Maxwel Cornet and Vladimir Coufal are all doubts. Cornet and Coufal are both more likely to play than Zouma, though it looks unlikely that any of the three will start against Brighton at this point in time.

In their last Premier League game, West Ham ran rampant over Nottingham Forest, as they won by a scoreline of 4-0. The scores were level until the 71st minute – when Danny Ings found the back of the net, the floodgates opened. The former Liverpool player netted again, alongside goals from Declan Rice and Michail Antonio.

Brighton, on the other hand, had little to celebrate after their previous Premier League game. They were beaten 1-0 at home by Fulham, with Manor Solomon scoring late on to upset Roberto De Zerbi’s team. They haven’t played in the Premier League since February 18 – could the Irons take advantage of this?
