West Ham V Norwich: Match Preview And Betting Odds

After two consecutive wins, West Ham manager Manuel Pellegrini will be happy with how his side have recovered from a poor start to the campaign.

The victory at Watford last week showed the Hammers have the firepower in attack to be a threat to most teams in the division, while they secured their passage through to the third round of the Carabao Cup with a gritty performance against Newport.

One major setback that came out of the win at Rodney Parade is the injury to Michail Antonio. The 29-year-old could be out for at least a couple of months with a hamstring tear but could be absent for even longer. Javier Hernandez may need a late fitness test ahead of the weekend after sustaining a knee injury.

West Ham will face a tricky opponent this weekend. Norwich have already shown they will show no respect to reputations following their promotion from the Championship. Daniel Farke’s team narrowly lost to Chelsea at home last time out and are incredibly dangerous in the final third.

The Irons’ defence will have to pay close attention to Teemu Pukki who has already scored four goals in three league appearances. This match could well be an end to end affair at the London Stadium.

At the bookies, West Ham are 10/11 odds-on favourites at Betway to come away with the win, while a draw is 3/1 with Betfair. A victory for Norwich is also 3/1 at Unibet.

Predicted Score – 2-1 to West Ham
