West Ham v Manchester United – Match Preview And Predicted XI

West Ham v Manchester United – Match Preview And Predicted XI

West Ham will be on a high going into Saturday’s match against Manchester United, while their opponents seem to be moving from crisis to crisis.

The Hammers’ resounding 8-0 win over Macclesfield Town midweek in the Carabao Cup follows on from a creditable home draw against rivals Chelsea. The visitors are looking to recover from being knocked out of the cup by Championship side Derby County.

West Ham boss Manuel Pellegrini will be hoping to have Marko Arnautovic back for the match, after the Austrian sat out the 0-0 stalemate against the Blues with a knee injury. Carlos Sanchez is facing a late fitness test after he picked up a knock on Wednesday.

Doubts remain over Javier Hernandez’s fitness after he was once again absent against Macclesfield due to illness. The Hammers other absentees are all long-term with Jack Wilshere (ankle), Winston Reid (knee), Andy Carroll (ankle) and Manuel Lanzini (knee) still out injured.

United, meanwhile, will have Marcus Rashford back for the match after the England international finished serving his three-match suspension for his headbutt against Burnley earlier this month.

Here’s how we think West Ham will line up against Manchester United:

Fabianski

Zabaleta, Balbuena, Diop, Masuaku

Noble, Rice, Obiang

Yarmolenko, Arnautovic, Felipe Anderson

Predicted Score – 1-1
