West Ham V Liverpool Match Preview And Predicted XI Plus Betting Odds

West Ham will be looking to refocus following three consecutive defeats in all competitions. Off the pitch issues have certainly played a part in the poor performances.

Pablo Zabaleta has admitted that the transfer saga over Marko Arnautovic has been a distraction but with the Austrian having signed a contract extension, Manuel Pellegrini will be hoping to get his players’ minds back to football.

Facing top of the table Liverpool on Monday should certainly help in that regard. The Hammers have already beaten Manchester United and Arsenal at home this season, and they will be hoping to do the same to the Reds.

In terms of injuries, there was some concern about Arnautovic after he limped off with a leg injury during the 3-0 defeat to Wolves midweek, but there is a chance he could be fit to face the Merseysiders.

However, the Irons are now into double figures for those on the treatment table. Lukasz Fabianski (arm), Samir Nasri (knock), Lucas Perez (ankle) and Aaron Cresswell (knock) are all slight doubts for the game.

Jack Wilshere (ankle), Winston Reid, Carlos Sanchez, Fabian Balbuena (all knee) and Andriy Yarmolenko (Achilles) are out of contention. Manuel Lanzini is building up his fitness following his ACL injury.

Liverpool have a fair few fitness concerns of their own. Trent Alexander-Arnold is still unavailable due to a knee injury he sustained against Brighton. Joe Gomez (fractured leg) and Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain (knee) remain out.

Bookmakers have the Reds as odds-on favourites. They are 2/5 to win at Betfred with a draw best priced at 49/11 with Unibet. A West Ham victory is 15/2 at Coral.

West Ham’s Predicted XI To Face Liverpool:

Fabianski, Zabaleta, Diop, Ogbonna, Masuaku, Snodgrass, Rice, Noble, Anderson, Antonio, Carroll

Liverpool’s Predicted XI:

Alisson, Milner, Lovren, van Dijk, Robertson, Wijnaldum, Fabinho, Keita, Salah, Firmino, Mane

Predicted Score – 2-1 to Liverpool
