West Ham V Birmingham – FA Cup Team News And Predicted XI Plus Betting Odds

Like a lot of Premier League clubs, West Ham manager Manuel Pellegrini is likely to ring the changes against Birmingham in the FA Cup tomorrow.

With such a long injury list, though, he will be limited to blooding young players rather than having senior talent to come into the starting lineup.

Javier Hernandez won’t feature with Pellegrini revealing before the Brighton game that he needs at least 10 days to recover from a back issue.

Andy Carroll suffered an eye injury in the draw against the Seagulls but it is only believed to be a minor problem. Fabian Balbuena is, however, still a major doubt with the Paraguayan having missed the last three games with a knee injury.

Manuel Lanzini, Winston Reid, Carlos Sanchez (all knee), Jack Wilshere (ankle), Andriy Yarmolenko (Achilles) and Ryan Fredericks (shin) are unavailable.

Players like Grady Diangana and Xande Silva are likely to get a runout, with Samir Nasri possibly making his first appearance after making the bench on Wednesday night.

Birmingham have had a great season under Garry Monk so far, but after a transfer embargo from the EFL in the summer, they have limited options in their squad, meaning they could field a rather youthful looking team including Charlie Lakin and Beryly Lubala if they also choose to rotate.

The Blues will be withou Omar Bogle due to a calf strain and Kristian Pedersen is not fit to make his return from injury. David Davis and Isaac Vassell are long-term absentees. However, they will be able to field Connor Mahoney and Gary Gardner with both loanees being given permission to play in the FA Cup by their parent clubs.

The bookmakers make the Hammers favourites, and they are 7/15 at 188BET. A draw is 18/5 at Betfair while a Birmingham victory is 13/2 at Betfred.
