REPORT: West Ham United Receive Boost In Transfer Pursuit Of Highly-Rated Winger

West Ham United transfer target Hirving Lozano, currently at Napoli, will ‘definitely leave the club’, according to a report from Italian sports media outlet Area Napoli.

As such, the Irons could line up a bid for the player, if they are serious in their quest to bring him to the London Stadium for the 2023/24 Premier League season.

Possessing electric pace, skilful dribbling and an eye for goal, Lozano would be a fantastic addition to the Hammers’ attacking ranks. Additionally, he is also adaptable – he can play on both wings and can also function as a striker. Moreover, he has been known to play in central attacking midfield when called upon.

Who else, besides West Ham United, are interested in a move for Hirving Lozano?

Sadly for the Irons, they are far from the only club who are thought to be interested in a move for the Mexican international star. Fellow Premier League clubs, Wolverhampton Wanderers and Aston Villa, have both registered an interest in the player over the past month.

Furthermore, clubs such as Everton, Arsenal, Manchester United and Newcastle United have all been linked with a transfer for Lozano in the past year – but none of these teams have been mentioned alongside his name in the past few months.

Despite this, with his departure from Napoli looking imminent, it would not be too surprising to see one of these outfits resume their interest.

Hirving Lozano football career summary so far

Lozano, also known by his nickname of ‘Chucky’, joined his first youth team, Pachuca, when he was eleven years of age. He spent eight years in their academy ranks before signing a senior contract in 2014.

He went on to make 120 appearances for Los Tuzos, scoring 31 goals, before making the jump to PSV in 2017 – his first foray into European football.

At PSV, his career began to take off. His goalscoring record with the Dutch giants was remarkable – he netted 34 times in 60 games for PSV. Following this successful stint, he moved to Napoli in 2019.

Since then, Lozano has scored 23 goals in 120 Serie A appearances for Gli Azzurri – additionally, he also has 64 Mexico caps to his name.
