West Ham Tipped To Make Sensational Transfer Raid For Bundesliga Pair

West Ham are interested in snapping up Bayern Munich centre-back Niklas Sule and Borussia Monchengladbach defender Matthias Ginter, according to reports in England.

Both players are German internationals and their current deals at their respective clubs are due to run out at the end of this season.

It is not known whether the Hammers are keen to sign either of them in the January transfer window or if they prefer to secure the players on a pre-contract agreement ahead of a free transfer next summer.

It would be a massive coup if West Ham boss David Moyes does manage to persuade the defenders into making the switch to the London Stadium. Sule has 37 caps for Germany and has started 16 matches for Bayern this campaign. Ginter, meanwhile, has made 46 international appearances and is a couple of years older than Sule at 27 years of age.

The Irons will have a fight on their hands to snap up either player. Sule was linked with Chelsea a few months ago, while Ginter is reportedly being targeted by Inter Milan, Lazio and Newcastle.
