West Ham Target Summer Swoop For £26.4M Rated Serie A Star Who Has Been Linked With Both City And Arsenal

West Ham are interested in signing Inter Milan left-back Federico Dimarco, according to reports in the Italian media.

It is believed that the Hammers may consider offering Emerson Palmieri in part exchange for the 25-year-old, but his club are said to be more open to a straight cash offer.

Dimarco is said to be valued at around €30m (£26.4m), which is a reasonable asking price when you take into account that he is a regular starter for both Inter and Italy.

It should also be pointed out that both Manchester City and Arsenal have been linked with the defender over the past year or so.

Dimarco was reportedly scouted by the Gunners before they snapped up Oleksandr Zinchenko, while City have considered the Italian international as a potential replacement for Joao Cancelo.

The Hammers, themselves, could do with another option on the left flank. Even if Emerson stays, Aaron Cresswell is now 33 and his best years are well behind him.
