West Ham star ‘cannot wait’ to see return of Manuel Lanzini

West Ham United keeper Adrian says he ‘cannot wait’ to see Manuel Lanzini return to action and believes the Argentine’s link-up play with Javier Hernandez and Marko Arnautovic will prove a difficult proposition for opposition defences.

Lanzini has spent the majority of the season on the sidelines, with his most recent knock coming last month in the FA Cup at Shrewsbury Town.

The Argentina international could be available for selection against Liverpool – whom he was heavily linked with during the summer – and Adrian says the prospect of him linking up with Chicharito and Arnie is an exciting one.

“Marko is a great player, everyone knows that, and you absolutely miss this kind of player [when he is out injured] and you have to adapt and work in a different way.

“But now we have Marko back and Manu is ready to come to the team,” the goalkeeper told West Ham TV.

Adrian believes Lanzini can link up well with both Marko Arnautovic and Javier Hernandez.

“We hope all the injured players will come back as soon as possible and we can work all together until the end.

“Chicharito is a top striker. I’ve got a great relationship with him and he deserves his goals because he is a hard worker. I’m really happy for him and for the team.”

West Ham travel to Anfield this weekend having not lost to Jurgen Klopp’s men in four games.
