West Ham Set To Miss Out On 8 Cap Brazilian Ace As Premier League Rival Agree 40M Deal

West Ham target Matheus Cunha is set to join Wolves on an initial loan deal, with an obligation to buy, according to multiple reports.

The Atletico Madrid striker was linked with the Hammers, along with the likes of Arsenal, Manchester United and Aston Villa, earlier this month but Wolves have seemingly won the race for his signature.

It is believed that the Midlands club will pay £40m to make Cunha’s move permanent at the end of the season.

The Brazilian, who has eight caps for his country, has been on the periphery at Atletico and the fee that Wolves have agreed to pay is pretty inflated, considering his less-than-stellar performances in Spain.

West Ham manager David Moyes is sweating over the fitness of both Gianluca Scamacca (ankle) and Michail Antonio (thigh) ahead of the match against Arsenal, prompting speculation about a new addition up front. However, it now looks certain that Cunha won’t be moving to the London Stadium.
