West Ham Set Sights On Serie A Ace With Club Willing To Sell For £27m

West Ham are considering a move for Napoli winger Hirving Lozano, according to AreaNapoli.it. The Italian website claims the Hammers have been scouring the globe for potential forwards and the Mexican is a player they are looking at.

The 24-year-old has had a difficult first season in Italy following his €40m move from PSV Eindhoven. He has scored just three goals and contributed two assists in 28 appearances.

With Lozano not part of the Serie A side’s plans for next season, it seems Napoli president Aurelio De Laurentiis is willing to take a loss on the player.

AreaNapoli.it report that a €30m (£27m) proposal could persuade them into selling up, with the player’s value having depreciated due to his form and the impact of the current global situation.

Whether West Ham could afford the asking price, it does seems doubtful. Reports suggest that the London club will listen to offers for their players in order to balance the books.
