West Ham Reportedly Battling Two Clubs For Dutch International Fullback

West Ham are one of three clubs keeping tabs on Crystal Palace fullback Patrick van Aanholt, according to reports in Italy.

Two other Premier League teams are also reportedly scouting the Dutch international, with both Liverpool and Newcastle United said to be interested in the defender.

Hammers boss Manuel Pellegrini has rotated Aaron Cresswell and Arthur Masuaku so far this season with the former having started the last two games against AFC Wimbledon in the Carabao Cup and the 1-0 home defeat to Wolves in the league.

It may be a sign that the Chilean is not entirely convinced by either player and may consider other options if he is still the manager once the transfer window reopens.

Van Aanholt signed for Palace from Sunderland for £9m in January 2017 and has gone on to make 47 appearances for the Eagles.

The left-back has started every league game so far this campaign under head coach Roy Hodgson.
