West Ham remain keen on signing Benfica attacking midfielder Joao Felix, according to Calciomercato.com.

The Italian website reports that the Hammers are one of nine clubs competing for the 19-year-old’s signature.

Juventus, AC Milan, Bayern Munich, Borussia Dortmund, Monaco, Paris Saint-Germain, Atletico Madrid and Barcelona are the other teams said to be interested.

It was reported back in August that West Ham were keen on Felix, along with Porto’s Moussa Marega, Yacine Brahimi and Vitor Guimaraes’ Xande Silva.

Out of the four, the Irons only signed Silva with the 21-year-old having made just two first-team appearances since his €1.5m move in the summer.

A bid for Felix would, however, be much more costly. The teenager has a €120m (£103) buyout clause which would likely need to be matched considering the interest being shown in him.

The Portuguese midfielder, who has also be linked with Manchester United, Manchester City and Liverpool in recent months, has scored eleven goals and contributed six assists in 28 games this season.
