West Ham Ready To Launch £10m Offer For 14-Goal Championship Ace

West Ham will look to bid £10m for Birmingham forward Che Adams before Thursday’s transfer deadline, according to reports in the UK.

The 22-year-old has scored 14 goals in 30 appearances in the Championship this campaign and his form has led to interest from a number of Premier League clubs.

Southampton have reportedly had an £8m offer rejected by Birmingham for Adams, and it remains to be seen whether the Hammers’ own bid would be acceptable to the Blues.

The Championship side’s manager Garry Monk has stated that the club will only consider offers for the striker if the amount matches their valuation.

“We don’t want to sell any of our players, the owners are on board with that. I am not naive to think if ridiculous offers come in and the owners are asking you to consider that – then you consider it.”

It is believed West Ham’s interest in Adams is unrelated to their attempts to sign Maxi Gomez from Celta Vigo. The London club will look to trigger the Uruguayan’s £43m release clause but it seems they will then loan back the player until the summer.

He is said to be Marko Arnautovic’s direct replacement. The Austrian is only expected to stay until the end of the season despite signing a contract extension. A move to China in the summer would then cover the cost of signing Gomez.
