West Ham ‘Quietly Confident’ Of Securing £40m Deal For Bundesliga Marksman

West Ham are in talks to sign Eintracht Frankfurt striker Sebastien Haller, according to the Daily Mail.

The Hammers are “quietly confident” that a deal can be done for the 25-year-old with the club believing a £40m offer should be enough to sign him.

Frankfurt may be reluctant to sell Haller after having already sold one striker, Luka Jovic, to Real Madrid earlier this summer.

The player himself, though, appears to be interested in a move to the London Stadium with agents waiting to fly in for talks with club officials.

West Ham do have the cash to complete the deal following Marko Arnautovic’s €25m sale to Chinese club Shanghai Shenhua.

The money was going to be used to finance a move for Celta Vigo’s Maxi Gomez but the Irons missed out on the Uruguayan to Valencia.

Haller, though, is not believed to have any other suitors currently. Manchester United were linked with the player earlier this summer but they would have to sell Romelu Lukaku before bidding for the Frenchman.
