West Ham Propose Loan Bid With £30m Purchase Clause For Polish Hitman

West Ham have made a loan offer for AC Milan forward Krzysztof Piatek, according to the Football Insider. The bid includes an option to buy the 24-year-old for £30m at the end of the season.

Tottenham and Chelsea were said to be favourites to land the Polish international but the Hammers are reportedly looking to beat their London rivals to the player’s signature.

Piatek only joined Milan from Genoa for €35m last January but he has struggled for goals this season, scoring just four in 18 league games. The arrival of Zlatan Ibrahimovic earlier this month has also reduced his game time.

West Ham manager David Moyes is likely to be seeking a new forward before the end of the transfer window, with Albian Ajeti having failed to provide sufficient backup for Sebastien Haller.

Whether a loan to buy deal for Piatek will satisfy Milan, we shall have to wait and see, but if the Irons do get the transfer over the line, it will be seen as a tremendous coup.
