West Ham Plot Move For £9m Rated Ex-Sunderland Star As Obiang’s Replacement

West Ham are very interested in signing Saint-Etienne midfielder Yann M’Vila, according to L’Equipe.

The French publication reports that two other teams are also keen on signing the former Sunderland loanee.

Fenerbahce have reportedly offered a four-year contract worth €6m a year to M’Vila while Crystal Palace are also believed to be keeping tabs on the player.

Hammers boss Manuel Pellegrini has confirmed that the club are looking for a replacement for Pedro Obiang after the midfielder left the London Stadium to join Sassuolo earlier this week.

M’Vila would be available for a similar price that Obiang was sold for, with Saint-Etienne apparently willing to sell up for €10m (£9m).

The 29-year-old is said to be keen on a return to England as well, which could boost West Ham’s chances of beating Fenerbahce to his signature.

M’Vila was a regular for Saint-Etienne last season having made 40 appearances, scoring no goals and providing one assist.
