West Ham On Alert With Arsenal Winger Poised For Summer Move After Snubbing New Contract

West Ham target Reiss Nelson has rejected an offer from Arsenal to extend his contract, according to reports in the English media.

The Gunners were hoping to keep the 23-year-old at the Emirates, but he is now expected to leave on a free transfer when his current deal expires next month.

It was reported in April that West Ham, Brighton, Fulham and Aston Villa were pursuing Nelson’s signature, but it is not clear which club is favourite to secure his services at the moment.

Were David Moyes’s side to win the Europa Conference League, they would be handed a place in next season’s Europa League and that could make the London Stadium an attractive destination for Nelson.

Other factors, including salary, may also determine where the winger ends up. He is believed to be earning around £35,000 a week with Arsenal and he would probably demand a sizeable increase on those wages.

Considering Nelson could soon be a free agent, though, there are likely to be plenty of teams willing to pay him what he wants.
