West Ham On Alert As Man United Make Decision On Cut Price 15M Deal For England Ace

West Ham may well get their chance to finally sign Jesse Lingard on a permanent basis in the New Year, according to reports in England.

It is believed that Manchester United will look to sell Lingard for £15m in the January transfer window if the England international doesn’t put pen to paper on a new deal before then.

The Red Devils have reportedly offered Lingard a pay increase that would take his earnings to £135,000 a week, but the 28-year-old is stalling as he wants to be guaranteed first-team football.

So far this campaign, the forward has started just one match, coming against the Hammers in the Carabao Cup. Lingard has been excellent coming off the bench, scoring two goals and providing one assist so far, but he feels he deserves more game time.

With his contract expiring in June, United are not willing to let Lingard leave for nothing so a potential sale could be on the cards, with West Ham, Leicester and a number of other Premier League teams all said to be keen on securing his signature.
