West Ham On Alert As Contract Dispute Could See Ex Arsenal And Chelsea Frontman Return To England

West Ham, Crystal Palace and Brentford are all keeping tabs on Olivier Giroud’s contract situation at AC Milan, according to TMW.

It was widely believed that the France international would sign an extension for another twelve months, but there are still some obstacles that are stopping an agreement from being reached.

Giroud has spoken out about the problems, saying that negotiations are ongoing but, at this moment in time, he is set to leave Milan when his current deal expires at the end of June.

The former Arsenal and Chelsea would likely be open to returning to London, where he spent nine years of his professional career, so it isn’t surprising that the Hammers and other teams in the capital have been linked.

Whether David Moyes’ side would need someone like Giroud, though, it is debatable. The club recruited Danny Ings from Aston Villa during the January transfer window, and they also signed Gianluca Scamacca last summer.
