West Ham will face Declan Rice’s Arsenal in the fourth round of the Carabao Cup.
The Hammers saw off League One side Lincoln City to progress to the next stage of the competition but they will be taking on their former captain next up.
Some fans on X were rather amused that they have been drawn against the Gunners, while others are relishing the thought of dumping them out of the cup:
Swear these draws are just rigged against us lol

An earlier than expected reunion
Rice’s first game against West Ham was set to be on Boxing Day, with the league match taking place at the Emirates before the return fixture in February next year.
However, the ex-Irons captain will now face his old club much earlier, and he could make an appearance when the two sides meet in the Carabao Cup on October 31st.
There is no love lost between supporters of West Ham and Arsenal
Although it is a London derby, there hasn’t really ever been any animosity between the two sets of supporters, up until very recently.
The entire saga surrounding Rice’s move to the Gunners left a bitter taste in the mouth, and whoever wins the game at the London Stadium next month will hold the bragging rights in this newly-formed rivalry.
