West Ham Named As Surprise Candidates To Snap Up 16M Rated Serie A Poacher

West Ham are interested in signing Napoli striker Arkadiusz Milik, according to reports in the Italian media. The Polish international, who has been linked with Manchester United in the past, is thought to be available for around €18m (£16m) next month.

With the forward’s contract expiring at the end of the season, Napoli are keen to offload the player in January for a cut-price deal, and it is believed that the Hammers, along with Newcastle and Tottenham, are tracking the player.

Juventus also have a long-standing interest in Milik but the Serie A champions are thought to be only considering signing the 26-year-old on a free transfer in the summer. With Napoli desperate to offload him before then, West Ham may be able to take advantage.

Manager David Moyes is short of options up front and having someone like Milik, who scored 14 goals in 35 appearances in Italy last season, would certainly provide them with more firepower.
