West Ham Make Fresh Bid For £30m Rated Ligue Midfield Maestro

West Ham have made a fresh offer for Marseille midfielder Morgan Sanson, according to Le10 Sport. The French publication claims that the Hammers made a renewed attempt to sign the Frenchman before Christmas.

However, it appears that their latest bid has been knocked back. Marseille have raised their asking price, with the player having performed well in recent weeks. It has been reported that they’ll now only accept offers north of €35m (£30m).

Sanson did struggle for form earlier in the season, but he has scored two goals and provided two assists in his last five Ligue One appearances.

Marseille are also waiting to see whether other clubs are interested in Sanson, with the likes of Wolves, Crystal Palace and Newcastle having looked at the midfielder in the past.

The 25-year-old was originally a target for West Ham last summer before they opted against making a move for the player.
