West Ham Look To Replace Roberto With Portuguese International Keeper

West Ham are one of a number of teams interested in Olympiakos goalkeeper Jose Sa, according to reports in Greece. In addition to the Hammers, the likes of Arsenal, Wolves and Leicester are also keeping tabs on the 26-year-old.

Manager Manuel Pellegrini seems to be keen to find a replacement for Roberto after the Spaniard’s dreadful performances as understudy to Lukasz Fabianski.

West Ham’s number one should return to action after a hip operation in the New Year but the Irons are keen to make sure they have more depth just in case he is sidelined in the future.

Sa is yet to be given a senior cap for Portugal, but he has been selected in recent squads by national team manager Fernando Santos.

For Olympiakos this season, the keeper has been in decent form, having conceded just 14 goals in 20 appearances, as well as keeping 12 clean sheets in the process.
