West Ham Look To Head Off Milan And Atletico Madrid By Tabling 7M Bid For Matias Zaracho

West Ham have offered €8m (£7m) for Racing Club attacking midfielder Matias Zaracho, according to reports in the Argentinian media.

The 22-year-old has been tracked by AC Milan and Atletico Madrid, among other teams, but it looks as though the Hammers are the club who have made the first move for the Argentinian international.

Racing have, though, demanded €25m (£22m) for Zaracho in the past but it remains to be seen how the global health crisis has affected the player’s asking price.

With Manuel Lanzini, Pablo Fornals and Felipe Anderson already in the squad, a move for another playmaker would be a major surprise, although there is no reason why the Argentine media would make up such a rumour.

Zaracho is certainly a promising talent. He scored five goals and provided three assists in 23 appearances for Racing last campaign before the season was curtailed, and can play in a whole host of positions in midfield.
