West Ham Locked In Discussions To Sign 25M Rated Chelsea Star But There Are 2 Key Obstacles To Completing A Deal

West Ham are still in talks with Chelsea about signing Kurt Zouma but there are major stumbling blocks to overcome before a deal can be finalised, according to Sky Sports reporter Dharmesh Sheth.

The Frenchman is interested in moving to the London Stadium but finding an agreement on his wages and the transfer fee is proving to be difficult. As a result, the Hammers are looking at Fiorentina’s Nikola Milenkovic as a potential alternative:

Chelsea are said to be demanding in the region of £25m for Zouma, which is not a figure that West Ham are prepared to pay at the moment.

Milenkovic could well be the cheaper option out of the two, mainly due to the fact that the Serbian international has less than a year left on his contract.

Zouma, in contrast, has a lucrative deal, which Sheth says, expires in two years’ time, and the fact that the player is not pushing for an exit means West Ham may have better luck persuading Fiorentina to lower their demands for Milenkovic.
