West Ham are interested in signing Liverpool striker Divock Origi, according to reports in the UK.

The Belgian international is behind Roberto Firmino and Daniel Sturridge in the pecking order at Anfield and could be available this month for the right fee.

Origi scored his second goal of the season against Wolves in the 2-1 defeat on Monday, but the appearance in the FA Cup was only his fourth of the campaign.

The Hammers are looking to recruit a new striker with reports claiming manager Manuel Pellegrini is willing to let summer recruit Lucas Perez leave on loan just six months after signing the Spaniard from Arsenal.

Inter Milan striker Gabigol was also reportedly a target but the 22-year-old has returned to Brazil for a loan spell at Flamengo. It means the London club are looking for alternatives to strengthen their strike force.

Whether Origi will be within the club’s price range, it remains to be seen. Liverpool were demanding €30m for the player in the summer, although the price tag may have been lowered since then.
