West Ham Line Up Shock Move For 22.5m Rated Former Arsenal Star

West Ham and Crystal Palace are the two teams interested in snapping up Juventus attacking midfielder Aaron Ramsey, according to the Gazzetta Dello Sport.

The Italian newspaper claims the Hammers are considering a bid for the former Arsenal playmaker but the player’s £400,000 a week wages would be a massive stumbling block to a move going ahead.

Ramsey is valued at around €25m (£22m) by Juve, but it is likely that West Ham would be looking to sign him on loan, with a large portion of his salary being paid by the Italian club.

Manager David Moyes is keen on selling both Felipe Anderson and Manuel Lanzini this summer, and there has been talk that the London club would like to sign Eberechi Eze from Queens Park Rangers.

However, the Championship side are demanding £20m for the 22-year-old so Moyes may see Ramsey as better value for money if the wage issue can be resolved.
