West Ham ‘Leading’ The Pursuit Of £20m Ligue One Star And Deal Could Be Finalised ‘Soon’

West Ham are “leading” the battle to sign Amiens striker Serhou Guirassy, according to the Sun. The newspaper claims that a £20m transfer could be finalised “soon.”

It is believed that both Tottenham and Brighton are also keeping tabs on the Ligue One star, but the 23-year-old is said to prefer a move to a club where he would be a regular first-team player.

The Hammers have limited options up front, with attacking midfielder Michail Antonio having been preferred to Sebastien Haller by manager David Moyes as the team’s main striker against Manchester City last week.

Amiens are said to be keen to finalise a deal before the summer and have reportedly sent representatives over to London to hold talks with interested clubs.

Guirassy could well be a decent signing, having scored eight goals in 21 league appearances this season, but with West Ham’s top-flight status at risk, it would be a big surprise if they agreed a deal before their safety is secured.
