West Ham Keeping Tabs On Uruguayan Midfield General As He Is Made Available For £36m

Cagliari midfielder Nahitan Nandez will be allowed to leave for €40m (£36m) in the summer, according to reports in the Italian media.

The Uruguayan international was heavily linked with a move to West Ham in the January transfer window, and it is claimed that the Hammers retain an interest in the player, along with Everton and Inter Milan.

Cagliari are keen on keeping Radja Nainggolan after his loan spell ends but the Serie A club will need money to finance the deal, along with their other summer transfer purchases.

It is suggested that Nandez would be the likeliest to be sacrificed, not only because of his transfer value but because the player and his agent Pablo Betancourt are looking to force through a move.

West Ham’s interest in the Uruguayan will only likely be revived if they don’t sign Tomas Soucek on a permanent basis. The Czech Republic international will join for £13m if the Irons avoid relegation, but the Coronavirus outbreak and the suspension of all football means there is now doubts over whether the move will go ahead.
