West Ham Join Six Team Battle For Ligue One Ace

West Ham are interested in signing Bordeaux forward Francois Kamano, according to Girondins4ever.com. The 23-year-old is said to be a target for Liverpool, but the French website believes that the Hammers are one of six potential suitors for the player.

Everton, Newcastle, Roma, Valencia and Sevilla are also said to be keen on signing Kamano before the transfer window shuts.

The forward had been tipped to sign for Monaco this summer, but the Ligue One side’s decision to sign Henry Onyekuru from Everton instead has effectively ended their interest.

It could, though, leave a path open for West Ham to make a move for Kamano before the transfer deadline next Thursday.

Manuel Pellegrini’s side are said to be very keen to sign a striker before the window shuts but it is debatable whether Kamano would be a primary target.

Although the Senegalese international can play through the middle, he is most comfortable playing out wide, either on the left or right flanks.
