West Ham Join Four Teams In Race To Sign £16m Rated Danish International

West Ham are one of four clubs interested in signing Barcelona forward Martin Braithwaite, according to reports in the Catalan media.

The Danish international only signed from Leganes for €18m (£16m) in February, but Barca are already considering selling him with the season having been cut short due to the global pandemic.

They are determined to get back what they paid for Braithwaite, but the Hammers are said to be wary about making an approach for the 28-year-old, with so many doubts over the future.

Everton, Torino and Sassuolo are also said to be monitoring the Dane’s situation, who was playing for Middlesbrough in the Championship only at the beginning of last season.

Braithwaite’s goal record is hardly anything to write home about, having scored just 10 goals in 46 La Liga appearances, and Barca will likely have to drop their asking price significantly if they want to sell the forward this summer.
