West Ham Join Arsenal And Spurs In Battle To Sign Italian Midfield Maestro Who Could Be Sold For 35M

West Ham are the latest club to enter the race for Juventus midfielder Manuel Locatelli, according to reports in the Italian media.

David Moyes’ side are believed to be one of three English teams pursuing the Italian international, with London rivals Arsenal and Tottenham also keeping tabs on the player’s situation.

Locatelli only made the switch to Turin from Sassuolo at the start of last season. He initially moved on a two-year loan deal with an obligation to buy but there is growing speculation that he could be sold immediately after he officially joins Juve on a permanent basis next summer.

The Serie A side are paying an initial €25m for the 24-year-old, with another €12.5m in bonuses, and it is believed that they could be prepared to offload him for around €40m (£35m).

Considering the Hammers could do with strengthening their options in midfield, Locatelli would be an ideal player to bring in.
