West Ham are keeping tabs on Monaco centre-back Axel Disasi, according to reports in the English media.
Arsenal and Tottenham have also been linked with the 24-year-old, who was included in France’s final 26-man squad for the World Cup despite having not made his senior international debut.
Disasi actually received his first cap in the group-stage game against Tunisia. He started at right-back during the 1-0 defeat. Manager Didier Deschamps also used him as a substitute in the 3-1 win over Poland in the last 16.
Hammers boss David Moyes is likely to be in the market for a centre-half when the January transfer window opens. While Kurt Zouma’s knee injury is a concern, the more immediate problem is the potential departure of Craig Dawson.
The 32-year-old is looking to move back North for personal reasons and it is believed that the defender will be let go if a suitable offer is made. Disasi is likely one of the players being considered as a potential replacement.
