West Ham legend Mark Noble has been given the Outstanding Contribution to London Football award.

The former Hammers captain was recognised for his brilliant playing career at the 2023 London Football Awards on Monday night.

Noble made 550 appearances for West Ham over a seventeen-year period, having captained the club before his retirement at the end of last season. It is a fitting accolade for the midfielder who played at the highest level for so long at one club.

The rest of the prizes went to Arsenal players. Aaron Ramsdale was named Goalkeeper of the Year while Bukayo Saka was given the Young Player of the Year.

Mike Arteta beat off rivals to win the Manager of the Year award, while Martin Odegaard surprisingly beat Tottenham’s Harry Kane to the Player of the Year accolade.

The lack of West Ham names, other than Noble, is not a surprise, considering it has been a very difficult twelve months. Since the start of 2022, the Hammers have won just 13 league matches.
