West Ham Have ‘Voiced An Interest’ In 40M Rated Eredivisie Speedster But They Face Battle With London Rivals

West Ham have “voiced an interest” in signing PSV Eindhoven winger Noni Madueke, according to 90min.com.

The Hammers are believed to be among a number of Premier League teams tracking the England Under 21 international, who has impressed with his performances in the Eredivisie over the past couple of seasons.

Madueke’s former teams Tottenham and Crystal Palace are also interested in recruiting the player, along with Everton, Leicester and Newcastle. However, it is thought that Chelsea are the leading contender for the 20-year-old’s signature

Reports in the Dutch media have suggested that the Blues have already tabled a €30m (£27m) bid for the pacey winger, but PSV are said to be holding out for a fee in the region of €45m (£40m).

Considering West Ham manager David Moyes has an uncertain future at the club, following the 1-0 defeat to Wolves at the weekend, it’s unlikely that the London club will be prepared to make a move for Madueke in January anyway.
